In my experience with Bryce so far, I found that this is a MUST HAVE:
- patience to understand his/her fussiness
- patience to hold him/her even if you didn't sleep in days
- patience to drop everything you do and attend the baby
-patience to put aside all the inner cravings and focus on the little one
- patience for waiting for him/her to grow up
- patience for the first smile to happen
- patience for the solids
-patience, patience, endless patience.....
I think that is the most thing that I struggle with: learning every day to be a little bit more patient than the day before.
Wouldn't be nice just to go to the supermarket and be able to buy some patience: "De la patience, s'il vous plait".
Everyone says that, looking back, this time passes too quickly. Try to enjoy it. I can tell you that, being away for work, I feel like I'm missing these precious moments. Before long, he'll be wanting to borrow the car!
ReplyDeleteDon't wish him grown up too fast! You need to be very patient with that. They grow too fast and are soon enough teenagers who want little to do with you.. and then off to lives of their own. You miss the little one you could snuggle with and hug and hold. I would be delighted to relive the infancy of my three babies, to feel their soft cheeks against mine, to see the silly faces and smiles.
